Pamukkale and Salda Lake
To visit two unique places in Turkey at once to plunge into the thermal springs of the Cleopatra Pool in Pamukkale, and take a picture against the turquoise waters of Salda Lake in one day - is it not a miracle?!
If we know a lot about traveling to Pamukkale from Antalya, then Lake Salda is still more known to local tourists than to foreign ones, which does not at all beg for its beauty and significance, because this is truly the real "Turkish Maldives". This is the name that these 45 square kilometers of water surface secretly bear.
The unusual turquoise color of the water of Lake Salda owes its special chemical composition: it contains hydromagnesite, which gives the water not only a rich color, but also a sweet taste.
Around Salda Lake are surrounded by mountains overgrown with pine trees. What a fragrance from them here: it wıll take your breath away!
Protecting the uniqueness of the place, the Turkish government has banned swimming in the waters of Salda Lake since 2020. But to see it with your own eyes, to wander even with your palms in the crystal clear water and make amazing shots on the fine snow-white sand near the shore - we definitely recommend it!
